Roy Beck is the Founder, President, and CEO of NumbersUSA Education and Research Foundation. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and was one of the country’s first ecologic newspaper journalists in the 1960s. Throughout his twenty years as a newspaper writer, he garnered more than twelve honors for his ecological, economic, and religious coverage.
In 1991, Mr. Roy Beck began working as a full-time research associate on immigration and U.S. population concerns. Roy Beck authored four volumes on immigration, the environment, the employment market in the United States, and morality, religions, and policymaking. He is a co-author of multiple expansion studies and has been featured in various periodicals, scholarly articles, and media.
NumbersUSA was created in 1996 to implement the immigration proposals of two significant commissions. Former Rep. Barbara Jordan directed one joint congressional one, and former Sen. Tim Wirth chaired the other executive one. His piece in the Atlantic Monthly on the challenges caused by excessive immigration in a small community was selected by the Encyclopedia Britannica to be included in a chapter of the Annals of America as one of the most popular articles of the 1990s.
Countless TV broadcasts, radio programs, public hearings, university speeches, research institute and convention panels, and speaker’s forums have featured him as an immigration specialist. Roy Beck received the U.S. Army Commendation Medal (non-combat service) in 1972. His internship experience includes garments closets for interior kids in Dallas, the Neurological Society in Grand Rapids, Michigan, care homes in Columbia, Missouri, United Methodist Sunday teaching school in Ohio, Texas, and Virginia, and meals aid to less privileged immigrants and others.
Since 1990, he has organized a yearly week-long journey for teens to construct Local charity houses and remodel residences for the aged poor. Beck is known to have transformed many people’s lives through his charitable deeds. See related link to learn more.
