Larry Baer’s Exclusive Interview

Larry Baer, a former student at Harvard University and UC Berkeley is a leading sports visionary. However, he first worked at Westinghouse Broadcasting before trying out at Major League Baseball. Larry Baer lives in San Francisco, and he became part of the Giants in 1990 and formulated an ownership movement that secured the team from leaving the city. Therefore, in 2012, Larry Baer was appointed as the SF Giants CEO.

He started by winning a series championship that was the team’s second in just three attempts. In 2014, SF Giants followed up by winning another prestigious title. The SF Giants CEO was tasked to ensure Oracle Park was developed, and the fans highlighted it as the most prestigious ballpark ever. In the early 2000s, the ballpark was launched and got nominated for the best sports arenas awards in 2008.

On top of that, he led Giants Development Services, a subsidiary that was constructing a certain neighborhood near Oracle Park. The project was called Mission Rock and it would have residential units, retail shops, basic amenities, restaurants, as well as open spaces.

The Giants CEO holds different accolades for his determined contributions to several baseball, media, and business boards. After assuming the Giants CEO’s position, he was awarded by Harvard Business College and UC Berkeley. Larry is married to Pam and together they have four kids living in San Francisco.

Larry’s midweek routine is strict because after waking up at dawn, he takes a workout shift before reading newspapers and taking breakfast. He either starts the day with a cup of tea or coffee that gives him clarity and readiness during the day at work.

Therefore, he meanders at the workplace inspecting and mingling with his colleagues. This interaction enables him and the team to boost their productivity levels.
