Randy DouthitRandy Douthit is an executive producer, director, writer, and actor. Judge Judy is known for his deadpan wit and sarcastic remarks.

Douthit’s experience as a stand-up comedian led him to work in the late 80s and early 90s with Steve Harvey and other comedians.

For the past 25 years, Douthit has worked in the entertainment industry and is currently a producer, writer, and director.

Douthit has executive produced several television shows, including Judge Judy, Judge Joe Brown, and Judge Mathis. He has appeared as a comedic judge on Judge Joe Brown several times and on Brazil’s Top Model (TV series). He has directed numerous comedy and drama projects.

Douthit has directed over 300 commercials aired in North America, Europe, and Australia. His credits include spots for McDonald’s, Volkswagen Audi, and other notable clients.

Randy Douthit has created 17 corporate videos for organizations, including FedEx and GEICO. He is a writer of over 60 scripts for television, including the Saturday Night Live Movie Theater series, which SNL’s producers produce.

He directed seven episodes of the critically acclaimed television series Family Law with Judge Judy and contributed to its production as a writer and director for five seasons (2009-2012).

Douthit’s last producing credit was the Judge Mathis spinoff Judge Faith (TV series) which ran for two seasons. He has produced over 75 entertainment specials aired on networks including ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, TLC, and A&E.

Douthit was nominated for three Daytime Emmys for his work on Judge Judy in Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program, Outstanding Telenovela/Soap Opera, and Outstanding Special Class Writing. He has been recognized by the NAACP and received Emmy nominations from NATAS Chicago and Television Arts Society Los Angeles. Douthit is developing several projects, including the scripted comedy series Guffman (TV series).
