Tom Keane Success

Tom Keane is the technology leader of Azure global marketing at Microsoft. With over 20 years of experience in the high-tech industry, he has been responsible for the marketing of many products that have risen to prominence in technology history. Keane attended the University of South Australia and studied computer science.

 

Keane joined Microsoft as Director of Marketing Communications in May, 2001 where he made a significant contribution to the launch of Xbox and Kinect into the market. He then was named Executive Director of Global Marketing Communications, where he led the positioning and launch of Windows 8 in 2013. Tom Keane has been awarded several marketing-related accolades, including being named one of the 50 Most Influential Leaders in Technology by CIO.com in 2011.

 

Tom Keane was also awarded as a top professional speaker by Speaker’s Spotlight and listed as a Top 25 Microsoft Windows MVP. The software developer has been featured on the cover of Redmond Magazine on multiple occasions. He was also awarded the prestigious Stevie Award in three categories: Best New Product or Service of the Year, Best Presentation of the Year and Best Technology Award.

 

As Executive Director of Global Marketing Communications, Keane was responsible for the development, launch and execution of all global marketing campaigns for Microsoft. As such, he has been credited with the creation of some of Microsoft’s most recognizable initiatives and strategies to develop cloud computing services.
