John Hailer is an independent director of 1251 Capital Group, a general partnership with two main divisions; 1251 Insurance and 1251 Asset Management. John Hailer is the president of the latter. Besides his director role, Hailer is also a member of compensations, conflicts, and audit committees, which are all panels of the board of directors. He has occupied both positions since July 2018.
1251 Asset Management division is a leading, Boston-based financial services provider. It owns a number of subsidiary companies, mostly in asset management and insurance. Before joining 1251 Capital Group, John Hailer was at Natixis Investment Managers, where he had served for over 18 years, having joined them in 1999. At Natixis Investment Managers, Mr. Hailer served as the company’s president and the CEO for Asia and the two Americas. He was able to help Natixis become recognized as a global solutions provider as well as a powerhouse in asset management.
Prior to his revolutionary leadership at Natixis Investment Managers, John Hailer was at Fidelity Investments Institutional Services Company. At Fidelity Investments, he was tasked with all new business development for several corporate clients in North America and a big part of South America.
Currently, John is a trustee on various financial advisory boards, including the Boston Public Library and the Boston Medical Center. He has extensive experience in the financial sector, having been able to pioneer new investments in the industry. He also has extensive knowledge of how business works. There is no doubt that he will help 1251 Capital Group continue on its path of bringing financial innovation and excellence.
